The registration fee of $205 per person includes 2 nights of housing in dorms, 5 meals, and all conference costs. For groups that register by March 15th with a $40 deposit, and pay in full by April 30th; our early bird rate is just $195. Special note; Priests are free.
Steubenville San Diego is a joint effort of Franciscan University of Steubenville and All for God Catholic Youth Ministry with the goal of strengthening and inspiring teens, young adults, and youth groups in their collective journeys to Christ.

With a heart for the marginalized and the forgotten, missionary Ennie Hickman has traveled the United States and abroad for nearly two decades, sharing Jesus Christ with both the churched and the unchurched. As a host of the summer conferences and missionary with Adore Ministries, Ennie has helped transform thousands of lives. Currently, Ennie serves as Adore’s President and is working to expand the apostolate to under-served families and young adults throughout the United States. Ennie serves with his wife, Cana, and their seven children in Houston, TX.
Jon Niven is an extremely talented musician and songwriter who has helped usher thousands of people into the heart of Jesus with his gift for leading worship. The prayerfulness and genuine humility he conveys in leading worship are unmistakable and help lead the worshiper deeper into an encounter with God. He is currently the music minister for a Life Teen program at St. Mary’s in Dedham, Massachusetts. As the co-founder of LIFT Ministries, Jon has led worship for countless retreats, adoration services, healing services, Masses, and has played at many larger events such as Steubenville East, Proud 2B Catholic, the National Catholic Youth Conference, and Soulfest.
Father Joseph A. Espaillat II is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York. He was assigned by Cardinal Timothy Dolan to be the Director of Youth Ministry three years ago. Growing up in Manhattan, he speaks three languages: English, Spanish, and Street! He loves ministering the sacraments: celebrating the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, hearing Confessions and proclaiming the Word of God. He loves working with youth and helping them encounter Christ. Fr. J enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as playing softball, basketball, and kickball! He also enjoys watching movies, writing poetry and rapping. Father is also the founder of the ministry “Messengers of Christ.”
Joel Stepanek has been actively and passionately involved in youth ministry for over 10 years. What began as a simple internship in a parish youth ministry office evolved into an incredible adventure that led him on numerous middle school lock ins, high school retreats, and ultimately to meet his wife, Colleen, who is a campus minister. Joel is the Director of Resource Development for Life Teen International where he creates engaging youth ministry resources for middle and high school students. He received his Master’s degree in religious education with an emphasis in youth and young adult ministry from Fordham University. Joel is an avid Packer fan, loves cooking, running, and spending time with his wife and son, Elijah Daniel.
Sister Miriam James Heidland, SOLT, is a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity. Sister Miriam graduated from the University of Nevada on a volleyball scholarship and, in a moment of radical conversion, heard Jesus call her to be his bride. She speaks often to young adults on the theology of the body, healing in Jesus, pop culture and beauty, and the transforming power of authentic love. Through engaging media, personal stories, and the beauty of Church teaching, Sister Miriam strives to bring the power of God’s love to life in the hearts of those to whom she speaks.
Sean Forrest is an international speaker, performing artist, author, radio host, and retreat leader who speaks to over 30,000 youth and families annually. He is the recipient of the “Of God and Youth Award,” and the United Catholic Music and Video Association’s award for Best New Artist. He has appeared on EWTN’s Life on the Rock and in a music special with singer Dana. Sean is currently studying theology at Holy Apostles College and Seminary where he is also an instructor. Sean is the founder, president, and executive director of Movin’ With The Spirit, Inc., a not-for-profit Catholic ministry dedicated to renewing the Church and society. Sean, his wife, Julie, and their three children, live in Connecticut.
